Claudia Hoffer was born in 1992 in Cleveland, Ohio and moved to Cleveland, Tennessee at the age of seven. Claudia has always been the creative type. Growing up, she had a vast collection of books she used to teach herself everything. It began with friendship bracelets and matured into all kinds of jewelry. However, once she picked up her first knitting needles, nothing else stood a chance. She taught herself how to knit at the age 10 from a kit her parents bought her from the local bookstore. Little did they know that it would change all of their lives forever. (They have been sporting Invisible Accidents accessories for two decades.)

In 2012, she received a BA in Foreign Language and International Studies in Spanish from Bellarmine University. Invisible Accidents began in 2014, in her parent's basement (as is tradition for start-ups) outside of Chattanooga, Tennessee. In 2015, the shop was based out of Seattle, Washington. However, home will always be in Chattanooga and the surrounding areas.

In 2020, she received a BFA in Painting and Drawing as well as a BA in Modern Languages and Literature in Spanish from the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga.

Hoffer has already been included in a numerous exhibitions including “Open Studio Night: Emerging Artists” at the Chattanooga Workspace; “Nuestros/Nosso: An Exhibition of Responses to Hispanic/Latin Heritage + Culture” at the Apothecary Gallery (Chattanooga, TN); as well as many “Open Studio Night” group exhibits during her residency at the Cleveland Workspace (Cleveland, TN). During her residency, she was awarded the “Viewer’s Choice Award” and “Dueling Artist Winner” in 2017. In 2020, her shows included: “Year of the Metal Rat, 2020 Juried Student Exhibition” at the Contemporary Cress Gallery (Chattanooga, TN), juried by Jiha Moon; "Space Case" at LABSpace Gallery (Hillsdale, NY); and “Marginal Gains” at the Apothecary Gallery. Hoffer currently lives, works, and plays in Chattanooga, Tennessee.
